Hello,
Twitch black screen I get a black screen when trying to watch twitch. The thumbnails from the game screen works but when I launch twitch the comments are updating but I cant see the video. This was working previously but had broken since the last update. I have tried full reboot including modem.
I've attempted the troubleshoot and have searched the internet for an answer and can't seem to find a solution.
Question: Why can I not watch videos on Microsoft Edge on Twitch.tv? - I'm able to watch active streams though when I attempt to view past streams, video clips, old recordings, edit clips of these recordings, etc I get an error: 'This type of video file isn't supported.' It can be a video I was just viewing as I was playing while recording, or someone else's stream and attempting to view a past broadcast. I'm not sure what makes the difference between the two video types but its weird to be able to watch it one second and to attempt to watch an instant replay and be denied.
As other sites have suggested with in my investigation I have concluded this issue only arises for me within Microsoft Edge -- Also, videos are viewable on other sites like youtube, except for crunchyroll.com (on Microsoft edge); which for some reason adobe flash player doesn't show up at all despite being active in settings (bug, glitch, error). Everything works 100% in all other browsers (IE, chrome, FF).
I've attempted both with and without flash enabled in the advanced options under settings. I've also attempted to view with and without /htl at the end.
Ive adjusted settings per some other suggestion sites in control panel with no luck to find a solution to this issue either.
If it means anything I use Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and PS4 share which stream and save my videos to Twitch.
I'm convinced it's an adobe flash integration error and I can't find a current fix for that either -- as I keep finding sites that say it's out of date, non-existent and/or needs updating.
Thanks.
